Ale & Burger
Ales are easy-drinking approachable beers that are characterized by a malt-forward aroma with notes of fruit and caramel. A biscuity, bready flavor and only light hop aromas. They are easy drinking and perfectly suited for a casual setting. Your favorite cheese burger with fries is hence the way to go here. The bready sweetness of the freshly toasted brioche bun brings out all the malty biscuity aromas of the beer while not overpowering it and allowing the sessionable beer to counter the fattiness of the meat and cheese. An Ale is the perfect alternative to the standard american lager at your favorite pub.
Ales
Ale is a type of beer brewed using a warm fermentation method. As with most beers, ale typically has a bittering agent to balance the malt and act as a preservative. Ale was originally bittered with gruit, a mixture of herbs or spices boiled in the wort before fermentation. Later, hops replaced gruit as the bittering agent.
Jester King is a farmhouse brewery committed to mixed culture and spontaneous fermentation. Our beers incorporate well water, local grains, fruits and vegetables, foraged plants, and native yeast and bacteria so as to make beer uniquely tied to a time, place, and people. Our inspiration comes from the classic farmhouse breweries of Europe that embrace principles of subtlety, restraint, patience, full attenuation and interesting fermentation character.
