Ale brewed with Cherries & Almonds
Ris a la Ale is based on the Danish dessert Risalamande. It’s a traditional Christmas dish composed of rice pudding with whipped cream, vanilla, chopped almonds and topped with cherry sauce.
The beer is at 8%, but it feels pretty light considering the ABV. The cherries make the beer very fruity in taste. The lactose gives it a rounder and creamier feeling, along with some sweetness. The sweet taste from the lactose is accompanied by some fruity sweetness from the cherries.
